Embraer Confirms Ipanema 203 Presence at Show Safra 2026 in Lucas do Rio Verde, Mato Grosso, Brazil

Embraer Ipanema 203 agricultural aircraft at Show Safra Mato Grosso 2026 in Lucas do Rio Verde

Embraer has confirmed its participation in the Show Safra Mato Grosso 2026, one of Brazil’s largest agribusiness events. The exhibition will take place from March 23 to 27 at the Fundação Rio Verde Technological Park in Lucas do Rio Verde. The company will showcase the Ipanema 203, the leading aircraft in Brazil’s agricultural aviation segment.

Agricultural Aviation in the Heart of Brazil’s Agribusiness

Located in one of the most productive regions in Brazil, Lucas do Rio Verde has established itself as a strategic hub for agribusiness. The city is part of Mato Grosso’s high-yield agricultural belt, a state that leads national production of soybeans, corn, and cotton — crops that demand increasing operational efficiency and advanced technology.

In this context, the Ipanema 203 plays a key role. The aircraft can spray more than 200 hectares per hour, delivering uniform application while reducing common issues associated with ground-based methods, such as soil compaction and pest spread.

Additionally, the aircraft stands out for being powered by ethanol, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and lower operating costs — a critical advantage in an industry increasingly focused on efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Beyond display: A Strategic Presence in the Field

Embraer’s participation goes beyond a static aircraft display. The company leverages events like Show Safra as platforms to strengthen relationships with operators, farmers, and agricultural pilots, while also sharing technical knowledge.

A key pillar of this strategy is operational safety. Embraer maintains a continuous agenda of training programs and initiatives focused on best practices, preventive inspections, and safety culture. Currently, 100% of agricultural pilot trainees in Brazil attend educational sessions linked to Ipanema’s customer support team.

Ipanema: Legacy and Relevance in Brazil’s Midwest

The Ipanema is not just on display — it is already deeply integrated into farming operations across Brazil’s Midwest. In the region of Lucas do Rio Verde and surrounding areas, the aircraft is widely used in aerial spraying, especially on large-scale farms where speed and precision are critical.

Industry data indicates that agricultural aviation can increase productivity by 5 to 15 bags per hectare, depending on crop type and operational conditions — a decisive factor in highly competitive regions like Mato Grosso.

Show Safra Mato Grosso 2026: Scale and Impact

Organized by Fundação Rio Verde, the event is expected to attract more than 190,000 visitors and around 600 exhibitors. One of its unique features is a dedicated runway within the exhibition area, enabling real-time flight operations and demonstrations.

This infrastructure makes Show Safra a prime showcase for agricultural aviation solutions, bringing technology closer to real-world farming operations.

Embraer’s Strategic Role in Aviation

With over 9,000 aircraft delivered since its founding in 1969, Embraer holds a prominent global position. While widely recognized for its commercial jets, the company also plays a crucial role in agricultural aviation — a less visible but essential segment of Brazil’s economic engine.

In this context, the Ipanema represents one of the most direct applications of aviation in economic development, connecting aerospace technology with productivity in the field.
