LABACE 2025 Generates Over US$ 150 Million and Strengthens the Business Aviation Sector

LABACE 2025 Generates Over US$ 150 Million and Strengthens the Business Aviation Sector

The 20th edition of LABACE (Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition) once again reaffirmed its strategic role in business aviation across Latin America. Held from August 5–7, 2025, at São Paulo’s Campo de Marte Airport, the event attracted 14,157 visitors, showcased 54 aircraft, and featured more than 150 brands, creating an intense flow of activity across exhibition halls and static displays.

This year’s edition recorded remarkable sales, with a standout performance by TAM Aviação Executiva, which closed deals for nine aircraft — seven helicopters (five Bell 505, one Bell 407 and one Bell 429) and two turboprops (one Cessna Grand Caravan EX and one Cessna Skycourier) — during the show. Airbus also marked a milestone by announcing the first sale in Brazil of its latest model, the H140, featuring a T-tail design. Preliminary estimates suggest the event will generate more than US$ 150 million in business, considering contracts signed during LABACE and those expected in the weeks ahead.

According to Flavio Pires, CEO of the Brazilian General Aviation Association (ABAG), the event’s organizer, the success of LABACE 2025 reflects the sector’s maturity and the show’s strength as a business platform.

“More than just an exhibition, LABACE is a true generator of real opportunities, driving the entire business aviation value chain and reaffirming its strategic importance to the country’s economic development,” Pires emphasized.

The move to Campo de Marte brought significant gains in space, comfort, and infrastructure, paving the way for innovations such as demonstration flights and the possibility for visitors to arrive in their own aircraft.

A thriving Market

Recent ABAG data underscores the industry’s historic momentum. In the first half of 2025, air traffic grew by 32% compared to the same period in 2024, marking the best performance since 2020. The study also reports an 18% increase in the jet fleet, 13% in turboprops, and 10% in turbine helicopters, with projections to reach one million flights in Brazil by year’s end.

Technology on Board

Among the show’s highlights, Embraer announced it will offer Starlink connectivity as an aftermarket solution for Praetor and Legacy jets, providing high-speed, low-latency internet anywhere in the world. Installation will be available through Embraer’s network of owned Service Centers, with certifications expected later this year and in early 2026.

Looking Ahead

While the outlook is optimistic, ABAG warns of challenges that could affect competitiveness, such as new tax burdens, environmental restrictions, and a shortage of specialized technical professionals. Even so, preparations are already underway for an even larger edition in 2026, scheduled for August 4–6, once again at Campo de Marte.
