Last Monday, I had the opportunity to live a truly unique experience: I was invited by Iberia to explore the brand-new Iberia Space, recently opened in São Paulo at the iconic Rua Oscar Freire, 777. The venue — open to the public until November 30 — was created to celebrate the airline’s 75 years of presence in Brazil and offers a complete immersion into the world of Spanish aviation.

And I can say with confidence: this is a must-visit spot for aviation enthusiasts, frequent travelers, content creators, and anyone curious to experience what it feels like to fly with Iberia without leaving the city.

A Full Aviation Experience — and So Much More

Right upon arrival, I was welcomed with a special invitation: to explore Iberia’s Business Class up close, including testing the seats used on the Airbus A350 — the aircraft that operates the route between São Paulo and Madrid. For aviation lovers, sitting there, adjusting the seat, observing the cabin finishes, and feeling the comfort of the airline’s premium product would already make the visit worthwhile.

But that was just the beginning.

Business Class Gastronomy — My Onboard Menu at the Iberia Space

One of the most memorable parts of the experience was discovering Iberia’s premium onboard service. I had the opportunity to enjoy a menu inspired by what is served in the airline’s Business Class, featuring carefully crafted dishes and impeccable presentation.

The dish I selected in Business Class:

Starter:

Cured ham and roasted pear served with stracciatella cheese, pickled red onions, and a touch of lemon.

Main Course:

Grilled salmon with a creamy white wine sauce, accompanied by ratatouille and pea-and-mint purée.

Dessert:

Chocolate cake served with a 70% cacao chocolate mousse.

Bread and accompaniments:

Warm artisanal bread served with organic Spanish extra-virgin olive oil and butter. To finish, a coffee — though I must say, our Brazilian coffee is still the best.

Drink:

Red wine selected from Iberia’s onboard wine list.

Other Business Class Options Available at the Iberia Space

In addition to the dish I tried, Iberia also showcases other options served in its Business Class, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to variety and refined gastronomy:

Available Starters:

Zucchini with yogurt and sesame dressing, served over palm heart cream with roasted vegetables.

Main Courses:

Grilled chicken with smoked demi-glace, served with cherry tomatoes, roasted potatoes, and cassava.

Cheese-filled ravioli topped with vegetarian Bolognese and finished with shaved Parmesan.

Desserts:

Strawberry ice cream with fresh mango and chocolate crunch.

Cheese selection served with guava paste and green grapes.

This variety highlights Iberia’s dedication to offering not just a flight, but a complete culinary experience aligned with contemporary Spanish cuisine.

Flying the Simulator — and Wearing Iberia’s Historic Pilot Uniform

Another highlight of the day was piloting the flight simulator available at the Iberia Space — an experience so realistic that any aviation lover will feel as if they are inside a real cockpit.

To make it even more special, I also had the chance to wear the very first historic pilot uniform of Iberia — a true time-travel moment celebrating the history and charm of global aviation. For anyone who appreciates fashion, this exhibit is remarkable, showcasing the elegance and glamour that designers have brought to civil aviation throughout the decades.
